We've wanted to make a manifesto since we started in 2020, and finally got round to it 💚

The Irregular Pledge of Honour

 

·      To champion IRREGULAR as a way of being as well as a guiding design principle.

·      To prioritise JOY as a form of resistance

·      To challenge outdated CAPITALIST NORMS (profit above all) in the way we run our business.

·      To embrace alternative forms of support and guidance in the evolution of our brand

·      To nurture and support the people who work for and with us

·      To strive to run our business in as responsible manner as possible

·      To prioritise self-care in all its forms – spiritual, cultural, mind & body – as integral to the working week, fostering the well-being of the brand as much as the individuals within it.

·      To only manufacture products in which we truly believe, and to design them with longevity in mind

·      To be unapologetic about the price points of our goods, which is based on the actual cost of producing small runs in a responsible manner, reflecting the value of design, textile production, fabrication and distribution

·      To take no sale for granted – these transactions don’t simply represent new customers, but rather a growth of our irregular family. 

·      To use our platform to nurture relationships and build community with people and organisations who share our world-view, and to call out those who threaten it

·      To recognise the value in what we are building, which is more than just a platform to sell stuff!
